Times Assisted Project (TAP) has been set up recently by the Times Group with an objective to support NGOs and other developmental organisations in their developmental activities. The synergistic action will propel sustained change. TAP acts as a link between administration, NGOs and the beneficiaries. In the new millenium, TAP has decided to take up the following activities:

• Locate and recognise through press the Genius of India in various fields and start the Times Genius Book. This will include geniuses from the past as well as present.
• To give media coverage to spiritual individuals and organisations working to better human lives.
• To highlight and institute new programmes for women, youth and children.

The Times Group has been in the forefront of national development for the past over 160 years and has made major contributions in the field of social development through media coverage and other forums such as Times of India Relief Fund, the Bhartiya Gyanpith Award and many such efforts.
